I'm not awesome at sharpening. I can imagine having the right tools helps a lot. For years I would sell pigs to a local hunter to use in his sausage making. Sometimes he would butcher here and sometimes he would dispatch them and take them home to finish the job. No matter which way he went...
Caught the last two hens that will be moving next door. They're in a pen and we'll make the transfer tomorrow. After that I'll be re-arranging birds. Yay! The pullets are getting close to lay so I want them in their new homes and ready to go.
DH had an appt today with his NP. Love her...
Got all the silkie pens back to their pre-freeze status. Cleaned out some old hay and a bunch of old eggs that I didn't even pick up during all the coldness. I'll hard boil those and the pigs and dogs will enjoy. That took a minute but I think the birds are happier to be able to reach green...
Got a couple of things done today. My truck has been liberated from the 14 bags of goat/chicken grain it's been hauling around.
Got several does wormed. I've picked three that are on the first "to go" list. I can't sell anything unless it's in tiptop shape, so worming was accomplished today...
Never heard of a cucamelon. Learn something new every day. They're cute!
I've got the bug....I wanna plant something! Thinking about starting some microgreens or sprouts or something just to satisfy the neeeeed!
DH had a snack plate with cheese, radishes, onion, olives and jalapenos. Not my thing but it works for him. I had that apple and peanut butter I thought about earlier.
Nixed the salmon. Went shopping today and bought a cauliflower crust pizza that we devoured as a late lunch when I got home. I'm still stuffed so not sure I'll have anything else. However, I have a hankering for an apple and peanut butter. Might or might not...
Didn't drag my lazy butt out of bed in time to put the trash out. Oh well... I enjoyed the extra sleep enough to make up for the aggravation. First cup going down good! I'll feed the critters and head off to town so I can spend a whole bunch of money on feed for the critters and groceries...
