Yep that's what we do... Freeze it until needed, so it's doesn't mold. It's a lot easier and cheaper to walk to the freezer, than it is...

i did grow some winter wheat and winter rye one year (planted in the fall and let go until seeds and harvested them the next early...

i won't vouch for any that i found but searching found seeds sources in Australia. it looks like you may be able to get about anything...

We've been here for almost 18 years. The chickens I just got in 23. I started with 2 and I now have 6 and I plan to get more this year.
