Hey there! I live in the Western Cape, South Africa, where my hubby and I have bought a 15 hectare smallholding 12 kilometres outside Riversdale. At the moment the little farm is lying fallow, with a few cattle belonging to one of our neighbours. Al we have is one huge dam, one huge big vegetable garden (2000 sq Metres), a store room, and a two roomed workers cottage without running water and an outside toilet! Ahhh, the lap of luxury! We are going to be slowly developing it, and as soon as my seaman has retired, (in 2 years time) we are selling up in the big bad city of Cape Town and relocating! Cannot wait! It has been a life long dream for me, and as my seaman said that I have packed and followed after him and our two now grown up sprogs, it is my turn to realise my dream. Please excuse the spelling, but I use the British version of English, and my mother tongue was originally French! Oh, and the picture is of my gorgeous huge wolf cross Zac, who weighs more than 60Kilos, and is definately a velcro dog! I am the only one that he listens to, and as far as he is concerned, I belong to him! He is more than 60% Alaskan timber wolf, and yet is the most gentle creature with small animals. My three cats use him as a bed in winter, and he loves it. He will pick up my parrots and bring them to me, without wetting a single feather.
