I have started crocheting some kitchen items. I am trying a theme this year. I hope to make a few dishcloths and towels for each family as well as a large jar of home made hot cocoa mix and a crochetted animal for each of the kids.
We will see how it works out . . but I am thinking about...
It is very cute. I did something similar with a favorite flannel shirt that both of my boys wore, when the youngest outgrew it I cut off the sleeves and sewed up the holes and bottom and made it a clothes pin bag. I don't recall who gave me the idea, but it is a great way to recycle!
You can get insurance to cover your home daycare. I did it for 5 years and at the time it ran me about $126 a year and I wrote that off as a business expense. I don't do daycare here because of the lady who inspects in our county. She has never had kids or been a care taker to kids and calls...
:yuckyuck I love it! That was great! :love
Thank you for sharing Keljonma :hugs I needed it.
So, my corn is doing really well and my Grandfather, who grew up in the '30's told me to fill a wheel barrel with ice water when we pick it, keep it cold until we husk it or freeze it, he said it...
We are having the same irritating issue this year. So, we usually (ans we still do) put Borax on the counters and floors and it keeps them at bay, but not this year.
We put boiling water on the mounds closest to the house. So, far it works for a few days, then they come back. Not sure what...
We have a TV, but we don't watch TV on it. We used to be so addicted to the stupid thing. 2004, 3 hurricanes, 3 different times in about 2 months that we went days without electricity. We realized how addicted we were. Our kids were going nuts. They did not even seem to know what to do or...
I have dehydrated pineapple many times, my kids love it. The thing is how high the humidity is, like any other dehydrating. I don't know if that helps.
Thank you for sharing that, HennyPenny. We are all works in progress. It is nice when we can help each other on the journey.
The plastic bag scrubbies, I take plastic bags, cut the bottom off (just where the seam is) then cut them in strips to make loops, then put the loops together to make a...
Beacon Drive in Theater in Guthrie, OK -
They are a family run/owned place for 3 generations. Family friendly, clean and so cool to take the kids to a Drive In.
Braum's - a local/regional chain. They have burgers and ice cream, milk, butter and other dairy items. They take very good care of...
Thank you, HennyPenny. I will try to remember to not let them get to me. Isn't it sad that just a few cranky's can make the rest of the jolly people get cranky too? For the most part my co-workers are great.
You are most welcome, 2Dream. I am trying my hardest to keep the mean people near me from making me too cranky . . we will see how that goes. I will try to post pics of the scrubbies. I am technology challenged. :gig Funny that I do tech support! I am good at my job, though.
Looks pretty neat. I think it sounds like a great idea. We are going to try a cold frame to grow spinich and a few types of lettuce through the winter. I have a few friends that have been successfull in growing all winter that way here.
