    Pennsylvania

Hi, we're just on the outskirts of Harrisburg in Dauphin County. We won't be here much longer though. I'm from the southwest and have been itching to go back. We have the opportunity to get out of here in late spring so we're heading for warmer and dryer weather.

    Arizona anyone?

I lived in AZ for 11 years and then decided I needed to broaden my horizons. I ended up in PA two years ago and now I'm ready to move back. All of my family live down in Tucson and surrounding areas. We're planning to move back in May. I'll be happy if I never see snow again - we still have a...

    New use for plastic bags

Wow, now this is exciting. I'm always looking for new ideas for ways to reuse my garbage. We homeschool so we always need a place to stash things. I love the colors of these bags. Can you dye the plastic or do you have to find plastic that's already the color you want? All of our bags are boring...

My favorite use for a pop bottle.

My aunt uses pop bottles to make bird feeders. She paints them up and has them hanging all over the place. They are very cute and creative and something the kids can do too.

    Funny animal names

My aunt raises Nubians and she named her first doe Fetta. I think she continued with that and named other goats cheese names but I don't remember them now. We had some unique names for pets as I was growing up. We had a dog named Maynard, one named Herschel, and one named Virgil.

    Home made yogurt...

Hi, I'm new here and my yogurt follies attracted me to this thread. I have tried to make yogurt in my crock pot twice and failed miserably. LOL. We don't have goats yet so we buy our raw goats milk and it gets pretty expensive to throw it away when I mess it up. All of the stove-top recipes I've...

    Budgeting for groceries

Hi, I'm new around here and this thread caught my eye. Forgive me but I didn't read all of the posts. I thought I would throw out what we do and maybe you can derive some ideas from that :) When we first began paying attention to our groceries it was in an effort to eat healthier. So we...
