Another one bites the dust. 97 and counting.
While the fire seems insignificant, it's part of a much larger issue of a spate of "accidental fires," one by one, taking out America's food supply chain over the past year.

well feed costs are rising, i have materials laying around, and im thinking of building a rabbit tractor.
do any of you have experience with rabbit tractors? got any designs you like?
didnt do much today but for some reason i feal accomplished. i watered the garden, fed some melons to the animals and planted a few 8 week old cockerals in the garden.
but some of my zucchini is up. maybe if i keep it watered ill get some more this year. the bugs killed all the squash plants...
the main thing is to keep your ac in good shape. have it serviced and keep the filters changed.
if you have window units pull em out in the spring and take them to the carwash to clean the coils.
100+ aint that bad out if you got some shade and a breeze. its 80°f and 90% humidity that kills me.
finally got the carots canned. not as much as i would have liked so i planted 2 beds of them. hopefully they come up soon.
they never seem to want to sprout.
in my area a greenhouse is not needed. we have to wait for fall to plant alot of things because of the heat. the garden could go almost year round if i wanted, but honestly by the time September rolls around i usually just turn the chickens on it for a month or two to get a break
we make alot of hot pepper jelly.
we so pulled the beets and radishes today. they arent rrally good to eat because its been so hot but they nake great pig feed.
the squash and zucchini are dead. vine borers finally got them. thats ok. well plant more. they make great pig feed too.
