I always use circular needles because the straight needles are terribly uncomfortable. Hoping to learn Continental knitting, I’ve heard it’s easier on the hands! I’m a thrower! That’s English knitting? I think? I haven’t heard of that Spanish one though, going to have to look on YouTube for that...
I’ve been having pain issues- tendinitis maybe? Carpal tunnel? I have no idea but knitting is causing issues for me so my sweater is slow going. Spinning and weaving don’t hurt so will be doing more of those.
I guess I misread the weather forecast. I thought it was going to be warm again today but nope! I woke up and it was 50, now it’s 35 and will be in the 20’s by late morning. Super windy and temps are dropping fast.
It started raining and within a half hour I had a migraine. The yo yo weather really bothers my head. I wish I knew how to shear my own sheep, this morning would have been a perfect time to do it (and lock them in for the rain of course)
We stayed above freezing last night, in the 50’s today, will stay in the 40’s and rainy tonight and 50’s again tomorrow. We’ll go from ice to mud real quick! What a weird winter…
How often do you have to trim the Kiko crosses? Is it less than the pure dairy gals? I felt like I was constantly trimming goat hooves but my sheep only need to be done like twice a year tops. Some are fine with once a year at shearing time. It’s awesome!
Lots of people want brush clearers too! But that’d be great if they find jobs as herd sires🤞I wish there were more kikos and crosses up here, more people should be breeding more parasite resistant goats.
Rude! Lol, But seriously I am so happy for you, I remember the days when you counted getting out of bed and walking to the garden as a success, and you’re working so much consistently now! Yay!
It’s been in the 40’s the past few days and I am loving it! Back to normal tomorrow, high of 20, lows in the negatives overnight. DH worked overtime this week so we haven’t had time to tap, maybe this week, going to get warm again towards the end of the week 🤞
