    i plan on using a form of hugelkultur with the planters and self watering buckets. once i get the worm composting going worm tea for everybody in the garden! :weee

    I know Back to roots has a oyster mushroom kit you can try out for 20 bucks and i think homedepot sells them now. i found my kit at a local wildlife museum. Not a bad set up they have the mix premade and ready you just soak the bag and then mist everyday for 2 weeks but i think its too dry here...

    60s or 70s VWs. If you maintain them they are easy on the budget. The down side is finding one in good shape. My 1965 beetle had a lot of issues but once it was tuned up and cleaned out ($200 in parts about 4 hours of work) I didn't have to do anything to it to keep it on the road. It had holes...

    welding cast is a PITA if you don't have a furnace or oven to bake it in. you need to know what kind of cast it is and what filler metals will bond to it. lots of info on welding online weldingtipsandtricks.com its good stuff. as for even cooling, you can bury it in sand, flame cool, bake it...

    ANYONE do the juicing thing?

    We used the jack lalane juicer for awhile but it never made a lot of juice. I waited a bit and got the breville juice fountain on sale. Its easier to clean, makes more juice and its more durable but.......... its still 150-200 bucks on sale
