In a push come to shove moment: your personal safety is worth far more than the life of any pet. But: Pillow cases can be pressed into use to transport chickens, in a pinch. If things are looking dicey, keep your chickens hungry. If they free range, they will come to the scratch can if they...
Regarding the child trafficking that is being done right now: There are many stories of rape and mutilation by the coyotes/cartels on the way here. They extort life savings of families with promise for better lives for their kids, then... the kids disappear. Vengeance is mine, says the Lord...
This little video fits in very nicely with the vaers reports. Don't bother listening, if you are not interested about the risks of the jab. https://www.facebook.com/messenger_media/?thread_id=100000628837461&attachment_id=145942127643363&message_id=mid.%24cAAAABCEqcFuA41Mrx16sg3ikK6J9
Hubby and I picked 2 qt. raspberries this evening. While picking, I didn't think much about the fact that a little bird was flitting around, and "chitting" at us. I'm thankful that I was cautious while picking. I found her nest. Tiny little nest, with the tiniest little blue eggs...
Spent an hour or two tackling iris bed that is infested with iris borers. Ever seen an iris borer? I do believe they are the most disgusting insect in the animal kingdom. I'm putting all of the infected material into a trash can. Then, I expect I will add 1/2 c of dish detergent, and give...
I have used some chips, but don't use them currently b/c they are so hard for me to source. I do put all of my used bedding (leaves and hay) from the coop into the run to finish composting. Add weeds, grass clippings, extra hay, and if I had access to aged chips would LOVE to put down a 6"...
Have you tried running it with a drill? This is one of my deciding factors. I've had shoulder surgery, and hubby is headed in that direction. So, we will hand crank when needed. But, I have a Ryobi drill with multiple re-chargeable batteries. That should make it super easy for us. When I...
Thanks for the descriptor. These leaves are long, pointed, serrated edge. So, I've been duped into nurturing weed trees! I've seen some similar seedlings in the yard. Yet more confirmation that they are impostors!
this morning, I ordered the Wonder Jr. Deluxe. I liked the fact that it has stone AND SS burrs, can be operated by hand or drill, and it is all metal. Can't wait to get it. Pricey, but, the peace of mind and improved nutrition will be well worth it.
@baymule , how long have you had the Family Grain Mill? How often do you use it? And, if you were to buy again, would you buy the same one?
Any other readers, do you have a grain mill? If so, what model and please give your assessment for ease of use, and quality of product. @Beekissed ...
There may be more than one. And,,, if there's habitat... It's very sure that, even if there is not one this year, there will be one in the future. YOu are wise to keep trail cams up.
My elderberry is putting on quite a show this year! And, even the new sprout is blooming. AAAANNNNNDDDD, there is a tiny little shoot coming up fairly close. I may try to dig that one and transplant to a new location. Perhaps even pot it, but bury the pot in the garden so it can get some TLC...
