There's a member of one of the sister sites, BackYardChickens, who has all sorts of pheasants, quail, and grouse. @00Sean. I think he has prairie chooks. You should join BYC and ask him!
Wild Strawberry leaves, Yarrow (I hate the taste, but it works very well to stop bleeding), Dandelion, Douglas Fir, Harebell, and Huckleberries (but not on my property). I love to make teas! Strawberry leaf or Douglas Fir needle tea is delicious!
I have;
Pigeons
1 Pheasant
Ducks
Chickens
Quail
2 Turkeys
Muscovies (I know they are "ducks", but genetically and behaviorally they are very different)
1 Cockatiel
1 Conure
Partridge is a beautiful color on Silkies! I didn't know Partridge Silkies were recognized by the APA? I do imagine it's a very difficult color to get right, especially on a silkie. How do you (and the judges) even judge the pattern on those silkied feathers?
Sadly I don't have any. When I said "we" I meant people. Sorry, I'm always so confusing. But here are some screenshots of hybrids online!
Pheasant chicken
Peacock chicken
Guinea Fowl chicken
That's a great way of describing it, nice and tight. Alot of my others are.... not so nice and tight, namely that one in the background. I call her crazy crest.
To the very left is an SSC coturnix quail, then the middle is my one melanistic pheasant, and on the right is a (I think) a Scarlet coturnix. Game birds aren't 'supposed' to be kept with chickens because the chooks have diseases they can 't handle, but people do. That's why we have pheasant...
