Thanks, FJ. I have not really commented a lot on this thread lately because I am a mix of everybody on this issue I think. I have a really weird blended perspective on all of it. I also can't stand the confrontation over it.
Last Friday, Kentucky implemented a mandatory mask rule in public...
Last year, I bought 50 mixed pullets of Rhode Island Red, White Rock, Buff Orpington, Australorp, and Dominique. Between selling some, and the predators I have roughly 24 left. Well, this year alone we have had a broody RIR, a broody BO, two broody Australorps, a broody Dom, and a broody Easter...
7 quarts of dill pickles. I have a batch of relish setting now. I will can it tomorrow evening. I am anticipating a bummer crop of tomatoes and beans too. So, I am just getting started plus more pickles...
Yes, we are being blessed. It's looking more fruitful everyday! I will be canning a lot I think.

18 pints of peaches yesterday, and 29 quarts of frozen corn on Friday. Pickles and kraut to come this week hopefully and then a glut of beans and tomatoes.

We have been cutting and pulling weeds for two days. That's it. I do have plenty of tomatoes, squash and cucumbers setting on. I have beans and potatoes loaded with blooms. I have cabbage ready to cut as well. It's look pretty good!
I don't yet, but I am not slaughtering for another year. I want to get a good sized animal finished out. I'll sell the rest directly or through the market. I am excited for it.
