Denim Deb Hay, hay, hay. Thank the Lord!

Amen to that. They're calling for rain tomorrow. I plan on getting to the farm early so I can get as much done to the pen as I can. I can't believe how long this is taking. I'm hoping the other 2 pens won't take as long since I'll have a better idea as to what I'm doing.

Denim Deb Hay, hay, hay. Thank the Lord!

Took me longer than expected. But, I got the house built and most of it painted! I ran out of paint. I had been planning to go home for lunch and plant some stuff since they're calling for rain tonight. I never made it. I didn't stop once I got there. And, I just barely had time to get...

Denim Deb Hay, hay, hay. Thank the Lord!

I'm hanging in there. I'm trying to find time to visit my Dad weekly. But, since January, I've been getting sick a lot. Last week, I had a cold. I'm over it, so I stopped in to see my Dad on Tuesday-he wasn't home! And, I don't have time any other day this week to stop in. I didn't get the...

Denim Deb Hay, hay, hay. Thank the Lord!

I am slowly but surely making progress in stuff I want to get done. I am redoing my chicken area. I hadn't been going to since I want to move. But, now I don't know when I'll be able to. I don't want to move out of the area while my Dad is still alive. And, my chicken houses are falling...

Eggs: To Pitch or NOT to Pitch

I was shocked the last time I looked at the price of eggs in the store. I had felt bad when I raised the price of my eggs, don't feel bad now.

Eggs: To Pitch or NOT to Pitch

Almost all of the eggs that I eat are the cracked ones. As long as the membrane is still intact, I wash them, then place them in the fridge. It's very rare for me to toss an egg.

Denim Deb Hay, hay, hay. Thank the Lord!

Had to turn the radio off while I was driving. They started playing this song and I knew if I listened to it, I would start bawling. Not really what you want to do while driving...

Same here. We planned the funeral today. It still doesn't seem completely real. And, while there was the sadness in knowing that she's gone, we were laughing at times as we recall memories.

One of my favorite passages, along w/the passage from 1 Thessalonians 4:13-18 13. But I would not have you to be ignorant, brethren, concerning them which are asleep, that ye sorrow not, even as others that have no hope. 14. For if we believe that Jesus died and rose again, even so them also...

Denim Deb Hay, hay, hay. Thank the Lord!

My mother went home this afternoon surrounded by family. My father was holding her hand and we did not realize that she was gone. But, we know that we shall see her again one day since she has gone to be with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. I kept having the words of one of my favorite...

Could really use some prayers. My mom is dying. She will probably not last the rest of the week.

I used a heat gun. It took a few minutes, but I got it loose. I hadn't been going to worry about it, but going thru the other field was such a pain. Plus, I have some bags of feed I want to put in my feed cans, and couldn't get them in any other way-unless I wanted to drive thru another field...

The wheel on the gate into my area at the farm is frozen. I have to go in thru another field. I put some ashes around it this morning and it's supposed to be sunny, so when I go back out, I'll see if I can open it.

My garden is all prepped for spring planting! I don't till it, and only had a few weeds in it, so I pulled them. My vine crops are planted vertically on cattle panels. I have all of the poles in place, and other than 1 panel that's out at the farm (I had someone's mini stud break into my...
