    Losing chickens

Hi everyone, Looking for some advice. Over the last 6 weeks, I'm losing roughly a chicken a week. They look perfectly healthy one day and the next, I find one dead. At first, I thought it was due to their age as it was the older ones dying, but then a couple of the younger chickens died. I...

    What's this?

I've just hatched my first chicks in my incubator. Noticed one of the chicks has got something stuck to her, any ideas what it is and should I be concerned?

    Hello from the UK

Thanks for the welcome all. I picked up an incubator from another allotment holder, so I'll be giving that a try. Unfortunately, I'm unable to keep a cockerel on my allotment due to association rules, so I'll be buying fertile eggs from a local supplier.

    Hello from the UK

Hello from the UK. For almost 8 years I've been growing fruit and veg on my allotment. In 2017, I took it a little further and decided to get some livestock. Limited with space, I decided to get a small flock of chickens. The flock has since grown in size and this year I'm looking at hatching...
