back in the day we butchered all our own meat, beef, hogs, lambs, goats, deer and chickens but that was a couple of years ago. now i send everything do the butcher shop except the rabbits, chickens and ducks. makes life so much easier.

hip hip hurrah for you sumi. you can do this. i had to laugh at my mom, she smoked from the time she was 14 till she was 81 but decided that the price of cigarettes was outrageous so she just quit, cold turkey.. and never smoked again for the rest of her 92 years. i wish i had that much...

my older hens are doing the molting thing and the pullets won't start laying for about another month so I'm not getting many eggs either. but soon i'll be covered up with them again i hope.

@Britesea you just need a bigger flower pot. it isn't frost resistant here either but i cut and pick it all summer long to get enough. and i usually have more than one plant.

small world indeed, i to am an aldi too. love their fresh fruit and veggie prices. i have a love/hate relationship with walmart but they do price match aldi's so that is a good thing.

if you like hot tea you can just put a stevia leaf or two in with the tea leaves and voilà, sweetened tea. mine grows well here too FEM. and i have had it come up the following year too.
