Oh yum. I haven't had wild plums since I was a kid. Here in KS, you can get various shrubs and trees from the Forestry Dept. I just looked and they have added some new things. There are plants here that I know nothing about, too.

Buffaloberry
Buttonbush

Yes! I dry/wilted some flowers and have them soaking in some olive oil now. I haven't decided if I'm going to do enough to make soap, or the salve or what. But as soon as I find some energy, I'm going to go pick some ingredients for dandelion vinegar.
We've dug dandelion roots before. It was plenty of work to get a small bucket full, lots of rinsing, then the roasting and chopping. By the time it was done, we had about a pint jar full. And the coffee/tea didn't taste good at all. We had dug ours in the late, late fall. I wonder if the spring...

Oh no kidding! I'll have to give that a shot. The rubbing alcohol would really help dry that window faster aka less streaking.
For years I've used the standard 1/4 c vinegar, 1/2 tsp Dawn and 2 c water for washing windows. Maybe just using alcohol in place of vinegar would do it. Hmmmm

Roasted garlic-parmesan veggies with sausage and herbs all made and cooked on one pan. 10 minutes prep, easy clean-up!

Exactly. It helps when there's a bumper crop of zucchini... like most years. Ha!
One thing I like about this recipe is that it can be low carb, low fat or dairy free, depending on how you swap out the ingredients.
Creamy Vegetable Soup
Soup broth:
1 head cauliflower
2 zucchini
1 onion
2 garlic cloves
2 cups vegetable or chicken broth
2 cups of water
1 cup of milk (your choice, plant milk works as well)
1/2 tsp garlic powder
1/2 tsp onion powder
black pepper
Chop vegetables and put them in a large soup...
Leftovers. Bill ate leftover meatloaf. I stared at all the veggies in the frig that needed to be used, so I'm making "Super Low Cal Healthy Creamy Vegetable Soup". Not sure it's going to be super low cal by the time I get done with it, but it's all good stuff. And it freezes well.
Lucky you! I come from a family of alley pickers as well.
Our dump no longer lets people haul stuff off. But they do have a great hazardous and reclaimed 'stuff' area. They take all the brown paints, mix 'em together, all the whites, mix 'em together and you can have a couple 5 gallon buckets...
:yuckyuck I spotted some volunteer pumpkin seeds underneath a maple tree in front of our dining room window. "Someone", I'm not saying who, but follow my eyes, dumped the porch pumpkins there during the winter. Okay, they needed to be dumped before that, but you know how it goes.
Oh, I guess it...
MMM, bean soup and bread. Can't go wrong with that.
We had salad bowls - bed of Romaine, spinach, grated carrot, red & green cabbage, then leftover sliced grilled chicken (from the freezer), chopped bacon, yellow bell pepper, pumpkin seeds, cheese.
