What a wonderful write-up, Pam. Congratulations! All those years of taking one step at a time have paid off. And just look how big baby girl is!!
I once tried to peel an orange with a butcher knife (I was about 8) boy did my thumb bleed! That could have been very serious. I hope your son is okay.
Your new Freedom Rangers and the garden are looking terrific, G!
What a silly thing to say. I think maybe it was one of the people at the beek meeting, and they just wanted a jump on getting a free calf. At least they have your number for the next one.
What lovely presents you have received already. You will have to have them out at the baby shower so...
Having been in this situation myself, I wish you well through the stress and decisions coming your way. Pray and consider everything you are told and given to study. Don't let anyone in the HR department try to rush you into any decision you don't feel comfortable with, be it moving or taking a...
Personally, I would add the lemon juice and put them through water bath again.

We live in an old farmhouse with wood plank flooring that has been painted. It looks like they used deck paint, as we found a bunch of cans left here when we moved in.
A few years or so ago, Backwoods Home Magazine had an entire article with pictures and step-by-step process for painting...
We had a Lakenvelder hen crow, but she did it only once - right before she started laying. She was the first in our flock of 20 to lay eggs... So I would watch your bird to see if it is really crowing and not just a one-time thing.
I think even if the girls aren't "girly-girl" they might still enjoy a high tea - a couple types of tea, maybe some herbals, with cookies, cakes, sandwiches with veg (cucumber, watercress) from the garden, herbs and cream cheese.... on tables in the yard would be terrific if your weather...
sunsaver, find the local Beekeepers' Association in your area. You may find a member or two that makes hive bodies and honey supers for a reasonable price.
Go to your local library and check out any beekeeping books they have. Many have plans in them for building your own woodenware. In our...
