Ours was a bit off because of doctor apts today. But we still managed to get a bit done. I am pushing the math. We have been taking to much time off lately (my fault) and are playing catch up a bit. We spent one day this week out working in the garden and orchard. My ds is in 3rd grade.
Doing good. A little sore still but not bad. I just have to wear loose fitting clothes or it starts to hurt. This surgery has put me behind on getting things done around here. I finally got out in the garden today and got some seeds planted. I am waiting till tomorrow to put the actual plants...
The caterpillars have gotten huge. Expecting them to attach to the top for the next stage any day now.
He is taking pictures and keeping a journal of the whole experience. Found a new breeding new Zealand buck today. Time to be making rabbit meat.
I am still waiting on hubby to build my green house. Til then I fill the kitchen and laundry room with seed flats and fight with the cats to stay out of them. The weather finally warmed up enough for me to move them to the screened in porch where they are waiting on me to get them in the garden.
Well recovery is over, back to outside chores this morning. I almost got a week off, ( I was cooking and doing chores inside the day after surgery though) I am feeling better and need to get the garden planted. Unfortunately the weather isn't cooperating, this rain just keeps hanging around...
Not much is new around our place. Still raising ducks, chickens, turkeys and goats. We did add rabbits about 4 months ago, we were ready to start breeding them but our buck had other plans apparently and escaped one night in January. Not sure what spooked him enough to force his way out. So now...
I have been on a break from this site. Not really sure where life is taking me, bottom line I miss you all. Things are still moving along slowly and hubby is still not really on the same page as me. I just feel a craving to be around like minded folks lately.

You are on the right track. I think this is a question that doesn't really have an answer. My best advice is variety. Look at the ingredients on a bag of feed and translate that to real foods. I have found my chickens will eat just about anything I give kitchen scraps to supplement feed.I have...
