    Rendering Lard

Well I have these really long pans. I think I'm going to line them with parchment. Fill, allow to set then freeze. I figure after their frozen a hot knife should do the trick. I just need to track down some butcher paper. g

    Rendering Lard

So this morning I had to get something out of my deep freezer and ran into all the lard taking up space and in the way. I decided to give it a go and try out the grinder my friend lent me. It attaches to the Kitchenaid. So I started with the gallon ziplock I had left from last year. Ran it...

    Laundry?

Well I admit I could probably push the napkins a day or so but since I'm running the wash anyways...... Doing a couple loads a day doesnt really bother me so much. In good weather I hang most of it on the line. It's the folding and putting aways that drives me nuts!!! :P

    Anyone else drink raw milk?

I think most folks who have dairy animals around here drink raw. I pay an arm and a leg for raw milk at the grocery. We drink Organic Pastures. While on vacation in Mo a couple months back we drank fresh raw from an Amish friends farm. Yum!! I must admit my pediatrician gave me flack when...
