    Frustratedearthmother's Journaling Journey

Basically it sounds like your DH is on the diet, If it tastes good, spit it out. . ☹️ Pouring and storming here. Waiting on daylight so I can go check sheep and dogs. My little temporary shelters are no match for a deluge like this.

Coffee's Ready, Come and Sit on the Porch

Pouring rain here. Under flood watch. Ya think? Waiting on daylight so I can go check on sheep. @CrealCritter Tank will be the best friend you’ll ever have. We had a Lab named Danny. He would escape the yard and go downtown to the police station. The dispatchers loved Danny. He sat, did high...

Coffee's Ready, Come and Sit on the Porch

Whew! It’s been crazy around here! When I got back from church yesterday, Fancy had twins. 1 very small white dead ewe and one honking big spotted ewe. This makes 27 lambs, 26 live ones. 3 more ewes to lamb, next week. I had to pull 2 ewe lambs of triplets. Mom has been sickly, gave her...

Coffee's Ready, Come and Sit on the Porch

I try to be as organic as possible. Been that way all my life. I have been living on my new farm 2 years in August. I’ve worked very hard, spent thousands on fencing and not done yet. Fence rows were so grown up that I couldn’t even get to the fence. 2 fields are done, the back field is going to...

Coffee's Ready, Come and Sit on the Porch

Coffee is on! I’ve had my 2 cups and 2 scrambled eggs. Waiting on daylight so I can get chores done. Today is slaughter day for Cornish Cross. I’m really tired of dirty birdies. A friend brought me his chicken plucker, that will certainly speed things up. I think there’s 37 chickens. I plan on...

Your husband is such a good man. I’m so sorry that he has to suffer from health problems. You suffer right along with him. Big hugs and I hope he’s better and can go back home soon.

    Daydreaming while waiting impatiently!

I’m so sorry about your ewe and lambs. That’s a tough one, I have a 10 year old ewe with twins. She is still going strong. She is the last of the 4 original bred ewes BJ and I bought. A big pet, she paws my leg for attention and gives great hugs. She will get a long rest after weaning her lambs...

YAY ! For the new refrigerator! I wear flip flops in the house and sometimes when I leave the farm. Never on the farm! They cushion my feet against the hard floor and it still feels fairly barefoot.

@CrealCritter Tank is not only adorable, he’s your best friend, sidekick and buddy. Have you ever had a Labrador before? This is Carson, half Labrador and half Great Dane. It’s a great cross and he’s my second one. In this picture I was working in the front field that “belongs” to the...

I sure do understand the frustration of too much rain! Next it will be too little. Son got in last night at 11:30. Tired and sore, he went to bed. We’ll take car back this morning.

Son is ok, released from hospital. He’s sore and hurts, but will be ok. He rented a car and will be here about midnight. Prayers for the woman driving the other car would be appreciated. I don’t know anything about her other than she was hurt.
