What do I do with a fish after I hook it?

I know how that is, last year I fished a little bit but it was in a lake by a library, and since people dump their red ear sliders there we caught way more of those than fish!

    Real food? - Mini vent.

My twin has a lemon tree planted in a planter in our back yard with my pet ducks (we're not sure how well it'll grow but we'll see) I've never really had luck with growing plants in pots so we're hoping to turn our entire front yard as raised beds. Thankfully we no longer live in an association...

My grandpa raves about how amazing it is, he says all you do is boil it, strip the "fleshy" off then cook it like a pot roast... I'd like to try it and am going to try to make it a goal to cook it... But maybe not till Next year...

Woah! I've never heard of this method before... Is this method easier and is there a tutorial I could find somewhere about how to properly do this?

    Hello from a Newbie

Thank you! I think though it weirds my youngest sister out, she got very mad when she found out I would be culling my flock and even told me I would be torturing them by culling. But as I explained to her I know they where lovingly cared for, has free range for portions of the day (I am...

    Trying new foods.....maybe.

I've eaten a lot of things that most the people I know think is weird... I love alligator steak(which I can buy at my local Asian market most of the year<3) I like crickets and I've eaten grasshopper though the legs on grasshoppers are not so great. Skatewing wasn't very good but it could have...

    Hello from a Newbie

Hello everyone! My names Myhouseisazoo2 and I found out about this site from a lovely member of the Backyard chicken community. I'm a new homeowner (recently in the last year) and am interested in being self sufficient for quite a few reasons. My biggest reason at the moment is my vivid...

Hello! I am also in Az, though I live in the city with a decentish sized back yard. I currently have a flock of 11 chickens (though it will soon be 5-6 as most will be sent to freezer camp in the next week) and three Swedish blue ducks.:D
