Is this governement run the way it was meant?

I so agree. The general population has absolutely no say in the running of the govt. it is all behind the scenes and they throw a tidbit out to us thati s in our interest etc. just to be content. It won't change. oh and it is not just the ol' USA. It is everywhere.

I could use some advice on starting my own busniess

and you have to apply for a meat handling license. I had one, they are easy to get. Any stored meats on the premise and you have to have a yearly inspection of your freezers. Be sure you know the local laws before attemtping to sell. Go to your local Agri. They will tell you all you need...

    A Billion.....

The next time you hear a politician use the word 'billion' in a casual manner, think about whether you want the 'politicians' spending YOUR tax money. A billion is a difficult number to comprehend, but one advertising agency did a good job of putting that figure into some perspective in one of...

How much toilet paper should we be putting in our long term storage?

good idea Deb. if a neighbor lady down the road has something you want and she has NO tp....good chance she will trade  plus it is a good fire starter and it has a tube inside that can be used later for some purposes. I bet Less Stroud could come up with a million ways to use tp in a...

    Freezing Corn On The Cob

I don't do anything. I shuck, bag and freeze. I have tons of corn in the freezer. We eat it all thru winter and just make our next crop when I about run out. I also cut some off the cob and make bags of fresh cut. Do nothing to it also. tastes delish.

How much toilet paper should we be putting in our long term storage?

You need to just track your usage for your family. Then you know what you need for a year, but also a bit less probably because you will be conserving that commodity as with everything else. example would be you use 3 rolls per week. I bet you could conserve that down to 2 if super frugal...

    An aspiration of mine...........

I checked into putting a magazine into production a long time ago. WOW, needless to say in the end I passed because I didn't have the expertise of staff to even think about pulling it off. instead of a mag, a website or newsletter type would be more feasible unless you are willing to put full...

    Should I OR Shouldn't I????

we've been chatting about this. we had one of Tony's acquaintenances rent out the hog barn. He could only stay in biz about 4 mos. He found out real fast how expensive it is to get into this type of operation. And MIL has about 11 rental units. 2 houses and 9 singlewides. OH THE...

    Should I OR Shouldn't I????

    Should I OR Shouldn't I????

I know. I gear toward farm biz situations and empty barns means fill them up LOL but I agree, I can't have it both ways. Father in law ran board for a few years back when we raised spotted saddle horses. before the cancer and he slowly shut down the boarding. about 10-15 people over a...

    Should I OR Shouldn't I????

very cool idea Bee. these are animal barns. no way I could tear down 30 inside stalls. metal framed etc. cool idea but these barns are not good for that. what I love about the soap biz is I make it at home, on my time, sell thru mail, Dad still does the market cause he is retired and wants...
