Pink Fox: its Raining...IN MY HOUSE! :/

I would make a full report to the BBB, including the amount of the compensation provided to you for this. They use all that information to do their ratings. also, there's a good chance they'll post your report on the website for others to read, and make their own decisions about the company. :)

The xXx Gloom & Doom Report

:hugs I've watched friends who are sick work for years in horrific pain because they could not convince the dr's, the government officials or anyone that they were deserving of that help. And then you have people like someone else I know who claimed he had a bad back and couldn't work, got on...

The xXx Gloom & Doom Report

I tend to agree with this. Your looking at taking money from babies and small children, as well as teenagers and adults. My father was on Social Security when I was growing up. Each of his children (three daughters and myself) received social security benefit checks as a result. In fact...

    Abifae - Ciao Babies!

:gig :gig :gig I was trying to picture the person insane enough to have you watch their kids, and then I realized they are cats :P at least with cats you won't send them back to momma wanting kimchi and sushi for lunch and veggie burgers and plum wine for dinner :P :D :hugs

The xXx Gloom & Doom Report

I agree actually. I was just pointing it out. In addition, if you raise the cost of food, your also raising other things. People who are barely affording to get by suddenly have to pay more for their food. Now it becomes an issue of "do I buy groceries or pay the heat? Do I feed my children...

What's a Fair Price for Chicken Sitting?

see, if it was me I'd do it for the eggs plus $5-10 a day and make just two trips. The second trip I'd just carry reading material and a light source and read while the chickens were free ranging, and watch them wander around :) It'd be a good, guilt free time to just catch up on my reading :D

The xXx Gloom & Doom Report

true, but then that leads to other issues. if they have to pay a higher wage to entice those workers, then they will in turn have to raise their prices when they sell their crops. Higher prices for the crops means that it will be higher prices in the grocery store. It is a trickle effect with...

What's a Fair Price for Chicken Sitting?

I would not lead with the whole "she owes me because her dog attacked my chickens" thing. I would go with the allowing them to keep the eggs, however if you are only gone for one night at a time, and only have five chickens (i'm assuming they are all hens for the sake of argument and currently...

The xXx Gloom & Doom Report

This isn't really a gloom and doom thing from the standpoint of the national or global economy, but if this happens in one state, what happens if it happens in all states? New State Immigration Law

and besides, even if the market collapses and you can't do anything with those nickels because you don't have a forge, you can put them in socks and make home security weapons! :D

Small "ethical" companies that are really owned by huge corporations

not to totally argue other people's points here or anything, but technically so can the little guy. The difference is, the big guys can get away with it because they are less open to scrutiny and depend less on the goodwill of their neighbors, whereas the small local company's are generally...
