Well we got moved in last month. We bought 6 laying chicks, sadly we lost one. The other 5 are growing fast! Found an ad on CL and bought 15 2 month old RR hens for $4 a piece!! So we should have plenty of eggs soon. My DW is excited we found her a horse. Pick it up next friday. I am busy...
Here in Nebraska you can buy an outdoor furnace that burns the large round bales of hay. I do not know of anyone with an outside wood furnace. I have a wood furnace inside though.
U.S. Navy 1996 to 2001 ELT (engineering Laboratory Technician) onboard nuclear powered submarine. (Responsible for plant chemistry and radiation protection for the crew and environment)
I totally agree that it is coming. The economy has not improved like they want us to beleive. Crime rates are up. If you look at the countries across the ocean that are cutting their debt.........it does not look good for them. If our government has to cut social programs what is the fall...
That is an interesting question that is hard to answer. First unless you have taken a life no one knows if they can. If someone is asking for food then I would hope and think that shooting them would never ever be an option. If they are willing to harm me and my family to steal it then that...
For those of us with uncommon food allergies this is scary. My self and my 5 yr old son are deathly allergic to oranges. Even the artifical orange flavoring uses orange peel.
Anybody wonder why so many kids have adhd, all the cancers, and many other ailments that did not seem as prevailant...

Just my thoughts
Ok so I started talking nuclear power on a different thread and decided it needed its own. I work at a nuclear power plant and have been in the industry since I served in the U.S. Navy on a nuclear powered submarine. I am more than happy to answer questions, debate or whatever about nuclear...
3 mile island released no radioactivity to the atmosphere. Talking about Chernobyl is like one of us building a reactor in the barn. U.S. plants are built to certain specs that I cannot go into here. Fukishima was a very old plant as well that is was not built to our specs. Spent fuel rods...
Ok so I saw the mention of nuclear power being expensive. While it is true that the intial cost of building the nuclear plant is very high you get 60 years or so from that investment. Making electricity from nuclear is actually cheaper than using coal. It also releases no pollution. Wind...
Steam power is the only way to reliably make power for the grid. Solar and wind are great but they will not keep the grid energized. As well as they are not as "green" as they want people to think. Nuclear is the only green way to supply the grid 24/7. I do happen to work at a nuclear power...
I have noticed that craftsman tools are not what they used to be and getting things replaced is harder. Sears was in financial trouble and was purchased by Kmart which was having financial trouble........ I have started buying Kobalt as I think Lowes will be around longer... Just my $.02
We live in the wonderful state of Nebraska when we arent living in a state of confusion LOL. What part of the state are you in? We are North of Tekamah, Ne.
