I would grab it. It is low in protein for a laying flock unless they have access to buggy free ranging. Very buggy. Or you can get cooked meat scrap for them (I use lots of bone broth and mash the leftovers and freeze in baggies for my hens in winter and to raise chicks). Sprouting grains...
Unless something has changed since I called Azure Standard, they don't come this far east. I use Wheat Montana products and love them. Love the prices, too...
Please reconsider canning your milk. It destroys not only the taste, but all useful nutrients.....traditionally it is stored for off-season use through yummy cheese and butter! I do freeze enough to get me through the dry months.
I'd check to see what you can do about filing some sort of report. Having a paper trail is VERY important in finally prosecuting someone. Found this out the hard way....even if a crime is really, really bad (and tossing a kitten is bad enough, but I'm talkin' WAY WORSE) if there is no "paper...
.....to help him burn off some of that rage and frustration that comes from flagging tales just on the other side of the fence....so close, yet so far! :P

Moolie, I've read this too and still scratch my head as I haven't seen the studies anywhere. I can't see that canning at 11 lbs pressure will denature the food more than all day cooking will....I find that the meat-based dishes that I like to can are the ones that do well in a long-cooking...

Remember you don't need a scroll or jig saw for the head lock....two straight pieces of wood will do just fine, just set them an appropriate distance apart. I didn't use any hardware for mine. I just cut a small block of wood and created stops with screws to lock the moveable head lock board...
You need something to use as an udder wash and teat dip. I use soap and bleach in the proportions on www.fiascofarm.com. Have you looked at that site? There are a lot of alternatives there, since they use herbals but also list the modern ways of doing things.
You'll need 7% iodine to dip...
That is fantastic, BBH!!! :thumbsup
You are an inspiration! I ordered 50 creepy meats for $62 (inc shipping!) last week....we've never done more than 10 at a time. I may sell a few as they grow....maybe not! It really could provide the chicken for the year! We should be able to feed them...
Here is the answer. "How come" is not incorrect. It may not be commonly used where you live, and your English teacher(s) may have been on a campaign against the phrase, but that does mean it ain't good talkin'. :D
Actually I doubt there is any fat left in hamburger that is boiled.....
And no, nitrates/nitrites are NOT necessary in these modern days of refrigeration. We don't put those chemicals in our pork chops or our steaks, and neither do they belong in our ham and our bacon. Just treat the...
