I did a bit of research and I think I'm going to give it a few more days first. It isn't as greasy today as it was yesterday. I don't see grease on the surface anymore and it is hard, just a little crumbly on the edges. I don't know what to look for I guess. :/ (On a side note, it doesn't...
I'm going to name it "Lulu's" after my favorite St. Bernard. I got some cute cardboard letters for the name today at the craft shop. Not sure yet if I'm going to decorate them or leave them natural.
Exactly! AND might I point out they are much easier on the environment than cattle...plus they are bit like rats up here, they seem to survive in urban areas just fine.
Thanks Damummis!
(BTW, my soap turned out fine, it is cut up and drying on a shelf as we speak. Emerald, it was really, really easy...even for me, who has NEVER made her own soap before.)
OMG the clothes pin idea is wonderful!!!! You guys rock!!! I have a small wash board and was going to make a display with teensytiny clothes pins and tiny cut out felt shirts hanging on a string....
I wish I could give all of you a big HUG!! :hugs Thanks so much, you have no idea how much...
By the way those bags have enough for 40 loads in them. Using 2 TBSP per normal load of laundry. I think I'll charge $6.50 per bag.
I am also going to make a bunch of "sample" bags and list them for $1.00
Not at all! :)
Ok, I've been working on a prototype for you guys to see. I used what was available within a few miles (the grocery store) and got 100 paper bags for like $.50. Those other bag ideas are great and I may switch to that later if I end up selling any of this stuff. :P...
Great ideas! Thanks!!
Now, as far as packaging the laundry soap up. A thought: laundry powder inside ziplock bags inside brown paper bags (stamped with "homemade") with a cute tie and adorable price tag that I'm making? I would love to use mason jars, but the price goes through the roof...
Thanks!
I think I messed it up though, I didn't "stick blend" it to "trace" well enough. I got it to the vanilla pudding stage but I should have kept blending until I got some peaks...unfortunately I missed that little sentence. I hope I didn't screw it up too terribly. :(
