We got about 10 drops of rain but it is coming down all around us. At least my well will get water. So far 2 reports of lightening started fires both put out quick. We are fairly flat desert surrounded by mountains so our fire dpt is quick to get to fires. No mountains to climb.

You have to be careful opening them but we havent managed to break any yet. Tattler has a small key chain opener to make it easier. I plan on ordering more here soon. I don't like disposable stuff very much.

The tattlers are reusable. Mine are on their second go around but there are some (on here I think) that have been using them for years.

Thats why I was looking for something that doesn't turn it on its side. I just started using the tattlers.

I grew up in S Tx so the heat doesn't bother me. I'm just worried about water and the idiots with fireworks.

They do that here too. As much as it stinks with the rain, it was a blessing with the smoke. Last year when S Az was burning we had smoke all around us but clear skies here. That smoke would have killed me with my asthma.

Thanks. She has a small amount of hearing loss in one ear but only when she is having vertigo attacks. The Dr's said it could become permanent if her attacks become more severe. This is a odd disease.

We use something like that for store bought cans. I wouldn't be comfortable doing that with mason jars.
