    Rabbit/chicken proof garden.

I finally have it done. Well, mostly done. I still need to build the removable frames for the chicken wire and add shade cloth to the top. Then it will be completely done. Now I just need to see if I still have my green thumb...

Thanks. I grind my own wheat so don't have any AP flour. I guess i could play around with mixing soft and hard wheat and see what works best.

    Here She is....the new camper

Mine are round and swivel but they close. If yours don't, maybe it would be possible to change them out.

I just ordered a pasta machine. So what is the best wheat/flour to use for pasta?

    Here She is....the new camper

Ours is like that. What we do on hot days is close off the vent in the master and close the door/divider. At night we close off the vents in the main living area. No point in cooling the areas that aren't being used. If we are going to take a nap during the day we close the one in the bunk...

    Pot size for Basil?

My rosemary isn't quite that bad yet. The largest is about 3 1/2 ft high with a 4 1/2 ft spread.

    Pot size for Basil?

With rosemary I just stick a cutting in the ground (very sandy/rocky here) and water daily. Once established they do well. We are in the desert and I haven't watered them in several years. Best part is the wild life doesn't eat it.

    Freezing Milk?

Yep. You just have to convince everyone else in the house to not drink it before it's completely thawed.

    Freezing Milk?

I don't know anything about raw milk, but store bought milk will separate when it thaws. Maybe that is why?

    Pasta machine

I did a search and came up with a few threads, but not exactly what I was searching for. I want to know if anyone has or knows a name for(brand, model) a pasta machine that is electric and manual operation. I like motors but want the handle for back up. Any suggestions?

    Another hit on small farming...

The only problem with that is mattress are flammable. I would think if you started using charred money someone would alert the feds anyway.

    Foodsaver Supplies?

I get my bags from Walmart or Kmart but ordered the jar attachments from food saver. They have an attachment made to use on those ziplock bags too. Haven't tried that one.

    Refreezing meat question....

I think we've done it the most with fish. It seems to thaw the fastest.

    Refreezing meat question....

I think we have refrozen just about everything. By the time I get from the store to my house, unless I happen to remember an ice chest, most frozen things are at the least partially thawed

Boy do I love my LGD's!

My dogs are the same way with our chickens and rabbits. I would have a talk with whoever your worried about running them over. Your property, your dogs, your rules. People, mostly kids of friends, have finally come to realize that no they can't ride the horses or carry around the rabbits.
