    SSDreamin Blessings and curses

I can so relate... Not to blow my own horn (but I guess I am), I can't get anyone who knows me to play Trivial Pursuit or Scrabble with me. I guess I grew up with too much time on my hands, because I always had my nose in a book (or two).

On this I must agree... Wikipedia is anything but reliable or consistent. And no, I am not a wildlife biologist. Just an avid seeker of knowledge. I have been searching for more trustworthy information on the subject. I hate to use Wikipedia as a reference, but these days the "real"...

    Panther

Joel, I am afraid I must humbly disagree... The Florida Panther is a tawny brown on it's back and pale gray underneath. http://www.defenders.org/florida-panther/basic-facts There has never been a documented case of a black melanism in a Cougar, mountain lion, puma. (Also taken from...

Hey SSD! No "real" resolutions this year. I was thinking I might try to quit smoking, but I'm afraid I'd end up in prison for murder! :gig So I think I'll just try to cut back... I know it's not cold by Michigan standards, but for So Cal it's pretty dang cold!! Leftover pork sandwiches...

    Panther

If I am not mistaken a "Black Panther" is technically a jaguar or leopard. The jaguar's present range extends from Southwest United States and Mexico across much of Central America and south to Paraguay and northern Argentina. The black color melanism occurs in only about 6% of the population...

Pink Fox: its Raining...IN MY HOUSE! :/

Bummer about the buns, Pinky. :( I guess that's pretty common with first time moms? Oh, and I'm glad to hear your feeling (sort of) better.

    CheerioLounge - Desert Dreamin'

Happy New Year! :frow It's a gray, bleary day here in the Mojave Desert. 27 degrees when I got up to take the dog out. He made a beeline for his nearest poop spot, did his business, and hightailed it straight back to the front door. Didn't even bother barking at the chickens like he usually...

I am going to assume you mean me... :P Not a whole lot really!! Got the roof finished on the addition, got the van running well enough to pass smog, so now we're legal!! :ya I'm not sure that I would trust driving down the hill just yet. Actually, driving down would probably be OK, it's the...

FF6 - I have seen a lot of coyotes in my area and the animal in that picture is definitely a wolf! Coyotes are all ears!! I have seen them come to within 10 ft of my chicken coops. I don't know if they have been any closer when I haven't seen them... Every night we hear their yips and howls...

    Cuisinart Food Processor discs

Thanks for the input. I know the blades are very well made and extremely sharp. I guess that's why they cost so much. Time to start saving up. The set is the way to go though; you get a break on the price that way.

    Cuisinart Food Processor discs

When my neighbor moved to Florida recently, he gifted us a Cuisinart Custom Prep 11 food processor. The only problem is he couldn't find the discs that came with it. It has the blade for chopping, but it's not much help for any other purpose. I have searched the web and cannot believe that...

    CheerioLounge - Desert Dreamin'

Hey Cindi!! Nice to "see" you!! The thought has crossed my mind, but they all are such good layers that I can't bring myself to do that (just yet.) J thinks I'm nuts of course. He thinks I oughta just put em all together and let it happen the way it happens. If I had a larger space and...
