I finally have convinced my Mom and Sister (I believe they are both need to be GF, autoimmune diseases are running rampant in my family) to try going GF, DF. I got them the book Paleo Comfort Foods and the recipes are awesome, so close to regular recipes they said they would give it a go. There...
My sister gets all their firewood for free from the woodmill scraps by their house, I guess it's good to have connections ;) We can get a permit to get wood out of the forest but in all honesty I am not searching for firewood with all the scorpions, snakes and poisonous critters here. I will...
Here in AZ our cords run anywhere from 250-350 a cord for mesquite or red oak delivered/stacked. It is cheaper for us to use natural gas unfortunately. Too bad because I love wood heat.
YEAH! Finally, I was starting to think I needed to call the vet! She had twin girls this morning, the kids named them Faith and Hope. I just realized that the movers packed the iodine for their cords so I need to run to the feed store as soon as they open :he or is there something else I could...
I really learned a lot from the Feingold Association or Feingold.org when I first suspected our child had ADD. It has a lot of information on why those dyes etc are bad for our children. They give you a lot of what to avoid and what you can still let your child have.
Others have already...
I have both, I love the legs for outdoor cooking with charcoal or over a fire but for everyday cooking you will get the most use out of a regular dutch oven. If you can afford a le Creuset that is my favorite, second would be lodge logic (which is made in USA other than the enameled ones are...
She is spendy, but one of the few large animal vets where I live. She charges 65 for farm call and 90 for exam and then what ever supplies and procedure needed. Our last visit for our horse vacs and teeth floating was 350.00 I think I gasped out loud
I know, I am just so darn worried about those babies, they mean a lot to me :D She was put in with our ram and he went right at her, she may have already been into her cycle by then so if that is the case she would be another week or so. My concern is that she never bags up this soon, usually a...
Our vet is around 250.00 for a visit and check so I am trying to hold off. Her eyes are clear, no runny nose, plenty of salt free choice and I gave her a dose of vitamins. I am not sure what else to do for her but wait...
Sorry I did not see your new post, I was just coming back for an update. This will be her third week with a full udders and no babies yet. I would not be so concerned if I had not seen the mucous discharge 3 days ago. I wonder if I should just call the vet or not worry about her, and let her go...
I used the recipe off pickyourown and did not care for how thick it was, I cutback on the Clearjel the next batch and it quit oozing out the jars. We still ate those jars (put them in front) because they sealed just fine, but I was still nervous about them :hide
Please be careful about using up...
She did not eat her breakfast with much enthusiasm so I am hoping that's a good sign. She is usually so easy to tell, this has been a different experience, I hope all is well.
Our ewe is overdue, she was in with the ram and bred and should have lambed a few weeks ago, should I be concerned or just let her do her thing? This is her 5th pregnancy and she delivers with no complications, normally during the night and is a great mom. Yesterday she was running around which...
Full time active duty? Because in 17 years and not once has our pay been late, it is deposited before the actual day if it falls on the weekend, or exactly on the day if during the business week, just saying it may be her bank not the pay system.
SavingDogs good luck on your surgery, I hope you...
I would not wait if he shows an interest in "mothering" a doll, they can be picked up cheap at yard sales, etc and it may help him when you are changing and feeding he can be doing the same with his baby. Nothing wrong with boys and dolls ;)
I could not agree more Moolie, this was a last resort for our struggling child. I feel this is what is best in our situation but we still have one in public school and would never consider this an option for that child ;)
