Honestly I have the stand and would not purchase it again ($18.50) I have a heavy cutting board or the edge of the counter would work as well. Mine has become quite wobbly with age.
I have had my Pampered chef with the wood stand for 11 years now and it is still in great shape, I have noticed with this years use it is dulling a bit. I hope to get another so I hope the quality is still there :)
Oh, and it's perfect for making fast uniform slices for dehydrating my apples!
Leta I completely understand but on the other hand my Dad just bought my Mom are really nice used car, less than 60,000 miles. It checked out great (at local dealer, but it was a private sale) and she drove it with no issues for a few months and then the header (I think :D) blew and it was 1100...
We just went through this, it was incredibly scary. We left our poultry, we did not have the cage space, so we set up a sprinkler on their roof and prayed for the best. Our horse and other animals went to a local riding stable (they were willing to take in all large livestock during the fire)...
Our friends had a Jetta but finally traded it in, it was a lemon  It was a brand new car and a couple thousand miles later needed a new fuel pump, then small stuff, they finally traded it in :hide I have met some diesel Jetta drivers who love their cars but I think the gas engines have...
My elderly neighbor still uses wax and unfortunately both jars she gave me last year unsealed and molded. I would recommend not using it IMHO. I just smile and take the jars but I would not feed them to my family :hide from past jars she has given me.
I have been using it quite a bit, it sure is handy to have! It was the bags I hated the most with the foodsaver, it had issues but it was used when I got it, I could have tried to order parts I guess.
RobinsValleyVT I love my KA too, that would be first on my priorities if I did not have one...
I have not idea if you messed up the soap but I second the vinegar, I use it in the wash load and rinse cycle also (in place of fabric softener) It kills off the smells :sick
I have seen a few of those, they are beautiful, I imagine it is tedious material to work with but the memories would last a lifetime!
Google horse show ribbon quilts, there are some awesome examples.
I don't have to rotate but I have the 1000 watt Nesco gardenmaster. Mine came with all the screens and fruit leather trays, it was a better value for me at the time I bought it, but to do it over I would probably get the Excalibur for it's shape and style of drying.
I could not decide between the Nesco gardenmaster and the Excalibur. It came down to price at the time (and not sure how much I would use it) so I ended up with the 8 tray model (the same as JRmom describes, although I purchased on Amazon.com for 149.99 with free shipping and it included the...
This is what I use but it's called Apple Pie Jam, I believe it's the same thing other than it doesn't use caramels (some recipes include but they have corn syrup etc in them) which we can't have at our house. I get lots of requests for this one!
Ingredients:
4 cups apples, chopped (tart...
Have fun with it, as long as you are not messing with acidity it will be great, I love to can it's so addicting :D Oh, I was thinking half the amount if using honey also.
