My husband added a porch onto our mobile home and used "treated" lumber. However, some of the lumber is rotting, especially on the handrailings for the stairs. Should you "re-treat" treated lumber, to keep it from deteriorating? If so, what would you use?

We live in a mobile home, and my kids want to have their bedroom painted. All of the walls have the wall paper covered sheet rock. Do you think it would be okay to paint over them, or what should we do? We really can't afford to take the walls down and replace it to give it a better base.

I'm a sahm from AL and we're not remodeling yet. We're thinking of adding on a room, though. I thought this would be a great place to get ideas.
