We had a chest freezer, but it died a year or two ago. E had purchased it in '96 when he was butchering our cow Nosey. It was the largest one you could get and we filled it, plus his dad's small chest freezer, plus the fridge freezer from one cow. (heifer). It was great!

I am hoping we have a deep freezer before this deer season! I'm wanting a chest freezer. I just like them better than the upright freezers.

I thought we could use something to brighten things up around here, so I opted to use this pic of one of my girls gleaning our fall mums. It was taken last week right out my back door. I normally try to avoid using one of my own pics, so I hope ya'll do not mind I opted to do so today...

She is doing good. She has a check up with the doctor today. My youngest son has a cold, and a scratchy throat, so he's being super clingy today. And cranky.

I didn't go this morning. It was cold and the baby has been congested and my youngest son had a fever. So we stayed home and I worked on a chicken coop this afternoon.

Hey, SD, I was just popping in and so sorry to read about your losses! I completely understand! I also want to answer your question - YES coons can climb chain link fencing/dog kennels. I only know this, because the coon that took out my Jett was hanging on the inside of the kennel. HUGE coon...
