Preparedness is really important, no matter how small or huge it is. You at least have to know what to do in times of emergency. I realized this when the Typhoon Haiyan hit my home country, the Philippines. Any preparation is really better than nothing.
I'm sure that it's better to keep it in a sunny or semi-shaded place. But make sure that it doesn't get too dry and will still retain a little moisture.
Even if I just joined the group days ago, I love it that the existing members are so very welcoming. They made me feel right at home.
I also love the fact that I can talk/chat to fellow self-sufficient individuals.
