:hugs I don't like it either! :hugs
I call it Daylight-Losing Time! Ain't no "saving" that I can see! :gig It was cloudy all day here and started getting dark by 4 p.m.. :rant
Brrrr......high of 46 today and it's been rainy/drizzly/misty so nothing was accomplished outside today except for feeding/watering the critters.
Spent last night getting this years' garlic harvest cleaned and separated (into cloves). Even though the harvest wasn't as good as I'd hoped for, I...
Great pix everyone!!! Keep 'em coming! :D
Don't be bashful, new members! ;) If you don't have enough posts (you need 10) to post a picture, you can pm or e-mail them to me (links to do both are under my username).
Thank you or your reply, sekinkead! :hugs I get newsletters from both places and will add them to my comparison-shopping list. I'm also looking at The Republic of Tea as far as loose tea goes. I just went ahead and bought the biggest, cheapest bagged tea (Black and Green) from WallyWorld, to get...
11 bags of compost/humus mix and 13 bags of potting soil and the garlic bed is officially amended! There is a huge difference in the soil now...it's so light and fluffy and super-easy to turn now! :celebrate I plan on giving the bed another good turning to mix everything together even better and...
~~~A Shout-Out For Themed SS Photos for POW~~~
Really want to get the POW back to weekly picture changes (instead of the monthly that I've been doing) and thought it would be a neat idea to have some seasonally themed pix to use.
Would love to see pix revolving around Spring/Summer/Fall/Winter...
Awesome link, Joel!!!
One of the first pallet projects doc and I plan on doing (after we get the truck back on the road) is a pair of chaise lounges from old pallets (he can get all he can haul from work) to enhance our enjoyment of the stars. ;)
It's nice, being able to sit out in our chairs...
Hope y'all enjoyed the vacation....I'm back! :gig
Docs' week off is coming to an end and since I won't have him home around as much to harass, I decided to start on my other home! :lol:
Wasn't as productive as the looooong list we always end up making but still got a lot accomplished!
The...
Boogity,
I can't answer your question as I'm new to this...but, if you need a new SCOBY, I'll glady send you one! Feel free to PM me after you get an answer, or anytime, for that matter! ;)
Well...I was in the mood for armor-plated possum aka possum on the half shell aka armadillo for dinner one evening and I used the fork as a harpoon as I chased it through our woods. Many of the hardwood trees just threw it right back at me and all was well. Until....the armor-plated possum aka...
I posted about killing my garden fork (yesterday) over in my journal and decided to post about it here, too, in hopes of being able to save it. :fl Been using this for nearly 15 years and am hoping "she" can be rescued/rebuilt/remedied.
Doc brought me home a new one last night but it has a...
Thank you ~gd and Joel, for your replies! :hugs
The "fork" is metal and I was so bummed that a welding fix never even crossed my mind! :th
Think I'll send it to work with doc tomorrow and see if he can do a fix on it.
~gd,
You never have to feel sorry for rambling while you're visiting...
:frow Deb! Sorry I missed ya this morning!!!
Worked more in the garlic bed today. All of the sprouters are dug up now, and amendments are covering half of the bed. I was doing great until I found a good-sized rock near one of the sprouters..I pushed down on the garden fork handle and watched it...
