There is a lot of emotion contained in these posts!
Vail Bentons- it sounds like you had the exact discussions as I did. Your term "counseling" pretty much translates into badgering from my perception, lol.
Thanks, BBH. I think that is what I will do.
I am currently crafting a letter of complaint.
I'm fairly hardy to blood draws, but their fumbling still turns my stomach.
You are right about big dogs, tho mine isn't as large as yours by a long shot, they they are more expensive; more med dosage...
OMG, poor girl! 4 years of suffering with UTI is very painful and bad news for the rest of the system. And I do know how much you care about your dogs. Boy, we sure are at the vet's mercy until we learn more, I think. Thank goodness you found a better vet.
Can I ask how you found a good one?
It is a rural area that is quickly becoming suburbia. It has an average income of $151,000 (not me). I suspect this clinic is a city wannabe, catering to those with $$$ moving to the country.
So true!
You know many of us on here are looking at what we can grow in terms of herbal medicines. The problem I see is that I can't really finely grind minerals in my mortar and pestle for supplementing to get around this.

A Newfoundland mix puppy wandered into my yard a couple years ago. He was only 8 weeks old.
I had no dog at the time, but absolutely no spare money to feed the puppy into adulthood. I posted signs and an ad in the paper, but I was certain he was a drop-off.
I wanted to keep him so badly but...
I figured that it must not be as serious as mine was when you bounced back the next day, lol!
The great aspect to your starting this thread is that we now have a number of remedies to draw from. I am sure that with all the work the majority of SS'ers are doing, someone will have a rotator cuff...
A town close to us has an ordinance against pit bulls. When the pit bull owners saw it coming they began crossing the pits with labradors, poodles, you name it, etc. They were still gaming these cross bred dogs. Now, with an amended ordinance, if it has even a slight semblance to a pit; it goes...
