Me neither. I love the place, but the winters are horrible, and last forever. There is nothing much to do and things are cheap, because nobody else wants them or is here to buy em. :D
Right now, I'd rather be in Arizona....................... at least its warm there. :/
What happened yesterday???
I won't suggest Nebraska, it can't be as pretty as colorado, and our winters are not nice at all.
California is lovely, but really EVERYthing is expensive. Other than those, I've only ever lived in Africa - and well I love it there, its downright bliss (cept the...
I moved my 6 ducklings OUT at around 5 weeks old, I made them a nice cozy place on one side of the coop and out they went, it was the beginning of summer so plenty warm enough. :D
Oops - I'm done now.
I don't like to cut the felted fiber, it creates a sharp edge and I don't really like that, it would be obviously different as well and I'd have to cut them all.
I've done a bit, felted down the lines, and it looks really nice - very subdued.
I'll post another picture when its all done. Its tricky working on a hat like this, not the same as felting flat on a foam block.......
:gig Yep, also its really "art" so anything goes, I just don't want it to look stupid. :gig or gawdy.
I need to start knitting the next one as well. This one has so far taken me 5 days. (granted I did knit 2 hackey sacks for the kids in between :ya )
Thank you Wannabe.
I'm sitting here a little bit nervous to put it all together for REAL. :gig The hat is still a little bit damp, so I have time to pluck up the courage.
I can do that! :D The pattern isn't published and right now I don't want it to be. I'd be happy to share privately.
Once its knitted, the felting and shaping is pretty easy, and then a person can leave it plain or add whatever, you can flip up the brim as well, or just one one side or at the...
:gig You guys are too kind! Thank you
I am going to try sell it on Etsy, and I don't want anything really stupid looking - I've seen some stuff on there and I've thought " WTH!!!!???? :sick " I don't want anyone thinking that of my stuff. :gig
Oh heck yeah it can make a huge mess, I tie my goodies up in a pillowcase, sometimes they still escape.
I have to felt in a front loader, which takes longer, but its kinda cool cause I can check the progress and it doesn't get felted too much.
You can throw in an old pair of jeans or...
I knitted and felted a hat, and want to add a little something to the side of it.
Its a Cloche style, and I needlefelted a few leaves and a flower... a couple of pearl beads sewn into the flower
The parts are all pinned on right now... please tell me how this looks, I hate GAWDY ugly...
