With a propane burner outside does it make it hard to regulate the temp in the pot with the wind and weather factors?

- 2 - 3oz packets liquid fruit pectin 6 oz TOTAL! (Ball)

Thank you all so much!! I canned my jelly yesterday and the towel method worked beautifully!!! I was even able to fit more jars in the pot than I used to be able to with the wire rack! Bonus!

I tried it and it worked! I added some sundried tomatoes nad basil in the final kneeding stage to the 30 minute mozzerella recipe!

I lost my wire rack for canning (water bath, not pressure canning). I heard somewhere sometime that I can use a towel in the bottom of the pot instead of a wire rack. Is this possible or are there risks involved? Has anyone ever done this before??

I wrote it all out and I cant i just dont understand my own recipe. I put 2 (6 ounces) packets of Ball liquid pectin. My concern is if I meant 2-6oz packets = 12 oz or if I meant 2 packets = 6 oz.
