yeah, Clear Lake has it's moments. Last year was nice. We would take our DD and play in the lake, it was clean. This year, no way. Algae so bad it stunk to even drive by the water. It was terrible.

We are right on Clear Lake. It wasn't as full as normal, but still people could get out and ski, jet ski, etc. I heard Mendo was really low, in fact I don't know if it even opened for boating this year. Pretty sad. :(

I am always the cold one in the family (thanks crappy thyroid!). My DH and DD run hot. I usually always crank up the heater and keep it nice and toasty in the house. HOWEVER, this year I am trying to not do that. I have had to crank up the heat a few times when DH wasn't home to start a fire...

My daughter will be 5 in December. She does Gymnastics two times a week. Just started 4-H this month. She also does swimming in the summer. We are looking for one more activity, not sure yet what, possibly ballet again.
Unschooler here! My "almost 5 year old" chose that style of schooling for us. I bought all sorts of fun programs, workbooks, etc, she has absolutely NO interest in doing any of them. Maybe its age right now. But I don't think so. She is very much like me. Not good at "book learnin'" but...
