Oooh! My daughter would soooo love that! Well, if any of those languages are German, that is. She does get to see a few programs early in the morning in German and really enjoys them. I bought her a few movies in that language, too. :)
Yes... and today now, I'm sure. "The end of the Civil War was near..." Trivia question... what was the bugler Dobb's middle name? I always thought it was so comical, it always stuck with me. :)
Good plan. That's what I want to do every year but it's become a ritual for me... around New Year's, I start thinking that as soon as all the paperwork arrives by 31 Jan, I'll just do it right away and get it over with.
Then everything comes and I give myself a break thinking "surely I'll get...
These do indeed sound like great places to eat, Ron! Those prices are very reasonable. I've seen some specialty buffets that were like $28 a person, or even more. It's fine for a person or two, but more than that and you're really running into an expensive meal at nearly $30 a pop.
I've...
Sounds like one and the same, yes. And it's so different from what I've come to know as "butterscotch" over the years. To me it's more like brown sugar candy under that chocolate. I really should order a pound (or two :) ) for myself for Mother's Day. Maybe I will!
Very true statement. I know a few people who, to the rest of the world looking in at least, seem to have "perfect" lives. Love their jobs, great kids, loving family, strong in beliefs, etc. and anxiety is still a horrible problem.
I do think that often "anxiety" is almost a ... I'll call it...
Oh maaaaaaaaaaan! You are so lucky! :D I've been going back and forth about ordering myself a box of Butterscotch Squares. Yum! It's always what I pick out of an assortment first.
Unfortunately there are no stores that I know of on the east coast but luckily they do mail order. The...
I get a little more timid about it each year... does your sister use personal software, do it the old fashioned way with paper and calculator, or do it with one of the online preparing places?
I hadn't really thought of this yet... I suppose it will be spent working around the house but we may take time out for a picnic at a lake or the marina.
Problem with that is that everyone else in the area has the same idea and the tables have to be chosen and "reserved" (meaning someone has...
Hey, this sounds great! A whole lot easier than the pasta salad I'm planning to make this morning for tonight's dinner. Actually maybe I'll have to make it a little more healthy and add some veggies now that I've read this. :D
The only series we're collecting at the moment is NCIS. I have the first two and will probably soon be getting the third season. I don't watch it but my husband likes it... I'm more for individual movies when I watch anything at all but that's rare.
Yes, I've not been liking what I've been seeing... but the local paper says that the hospitals are gearing up for it. I hope that means there's a way to treat it.
I also hope it just passes like the bird thing did without much more of a problem. :(
I'll confess something about that. I'll be going back in two weeks and I knew
that at the time, so the thought was "oh well, I can get more next time." :D
We needed to pay in last year, and more than just a little bit and it was so annoying since we never had to before. This year there was a little refund, but not from the state. The state actually cheated us last year.
Seriously! I did the taxes wrong and added something to the income...
Uh... I'd respond to this if I had a clue what you're referring to. My post
meant that during the 90s, my husband and I were very bad off financially
and in the early to mid 2000s, things got better. If you want to turn that
into a political thing, have at it. The post just mentioned who the...
I've been hearing about this pretty much yesterday and today, yes. I wonder if it will turn out to be like Bird Flu... which was basically overblown nothing? I hope so... I should read up on it.
That said, I know this is good advice, but I really can't see myself going to the doctor for a cold...
Same here, Frankie. We could have overextended ourselves into bankruptcy but didn't. I did the "max out" for a few years but was soooo glad to get that behind us. I can't really see myself feeling that others should rescue me from my self-imposed situation had the card thing not been fixed by...
Interesting... those were the years OUR pockets were nearly picked bare and thank goodness started getting better after that. Guess it goes to prove that there really *are* always two sides to every story, eh?
Ah, glad to hear that you have a vacation coming up! I should do the same before a vacation. Do you count calories then or just trade heavier meals for lighter, and just know you're getting less calories because of the change?
