This warmth (70's) and blue skies down here in San Diego make me want to plant my garden. But alas, its only 50 up at home for the next couple of weeks.
We are staying in a Marriott's Towneplace suites in San Diego. Refrigerator and some kitchen stuff. So we went to a grocery store and bought salads, calif sushi rolls, bottle of wine, snacks, cheese, crackers. Soooo wonderful vs a restaurant.
I'm in San Diego. Where its going to be mid 70's and then 77 on Thursday. Go back to rain, wind and cold on Friday.
Everything here is blue and sunny. Bouganvillas, Bird of Paradise, yuccas, sun, water, air smells like ocean, yachts everywhere in bay, big ships: two of which we will tour, some...
All school districts closed for today. We are getting snow (a little) and strong winds about 11 a.m. I've only seen one or two snow plows in my 3 winters here.
I'm in between Mt Hood and Mt St Helens. Since Helen already blew her top, Hood is the one to think about. But yeah, Cascadia Subduction Zone will hit me hard!
Our food bank where I volunteer, stopped buying eggs from the wholesaler three weeks ago. We've gotten some complaints that we always give out eggs....not any longer, dear client!
The 2018 washer that we bought from the house sellers here, broke. The struts are going out. So to fix it is $676 or to buy the exact same Maytag is $828.
What did I do? I'm going to fix the struts myself with hubs help. For $115.
Can the vacuum be repaired? What is wrong with it?
I finally trimmed heavily, and stuck the sticks into some dirt in pots. I've got them all in the greenhouse. Lets see if they root!
I've not done anything with the tubers yet.
I'm not buying new seeds this year. I'm going to clean up my old ones. I have A LOT!! Plus I worry about water. This January has been the driest one since 2011. Not good.
