    Cartoons

Spongebob subversive? I thought it was pretty harmless, but then I haven't watched a whole "episode". What is on the cartoon that is objectionable?

    Your Thoughts on the Economy?

Ypu have to wonder why some areas require one have a lawyer to understand what's going on, and to research liens. Since all of the records are public, anyone should be able to pick through the information on their own, if need be.

    Going to the gym

I haven't joined another gym. The costs are pretty high and I really need to spend my money in other ways.

    The Chimp Attack...

I hear that the injured woman was sent to a facility that specializes in face transplants. How in the world will her life continue after all of this? Do you think the city or state should pay for her care, since it lawmakers decided to allow the chimp to remain in that home?

    Another blow for the Big3?

There are amazing fabrication machines that scan with lasers, then build the scanned item in plastic. It would be easy to create molds for new parts that way. Perhaps the Big 3 are worried that this technology will overtake new production.

    Your Thoughts on the Economy?

Often, people were told not to worry about the payments going up, and were assured that the lender would be happy to work with them so they could stay in their homes. It can be hard to defend yourself when you are taught that banks and other lenders can be trusted.

    Flat Screen TVs

I don't think I will get a flat screen for a long time yet. I remember when calculators first came out and were really expensive, after a while, they were dirt cheap. I think the same thing will happen with flat screens.

Raids on Medical Marijuana Clubs to End

Teh new "drug czar" is a former police chief from Seattle, where enforcement of marijuana laws is the lowest priotiy when cops deal with adults, so he's accustomed to liberal views on its use. It would be stupid NOT to legalize it. The tax revenue would be awesome, and people are much more...

    "Industrial" metals a good investment?

It's a thought. I haven't seen any figures for non-precious metals, but they might be a good investment! Good idea.

What should the goverment stop funding?

The drinking age could be lowered back to 18. I see no reason to delay drinking and no reason to spend time policing who gets beer, outside of making sure that little kids don't get beer.

    New Credit Card Regulations

Now that you mention it, I did get something from a card about heavy penalties for late payments. As far as I am concerned, their just telling me they don't want my business anymore. After paying faithfully when I had balances, I see no reason to be talked to like I'm dirt.

    Manufacturing making a comeback?

It would provide a greater range of employment choices which, in turn, would move many into a productive like. Not everyone can go to college, nor should everyone even try!

10-12 Glasses of Water Everyday For A Healthy You

While fluid intake influences whether or not you develop things like kidney stones, I am not sure there is truly a one to one ration between fluids/water and toxins being removed from the body. Has anyone seen any studies addressing how water affects the concentrations of normal waste/toxins...

    Another blow for the Big3?

I have a feeling that we have become too quick to focus on the difficulties of adapting, instead of looking at ways to adapt. Of course, corporate America has a vested interested in our remaining too scared to change!

    The "New" Retirement

I really feel sorry for college grads who, thinking they could make tons of money, got MBA's. I hope they also took some classes that built some hands on skills, like auto repair.

    Gold as Investment

Gold is a good investment, which is why you see ads enticing really stupid people to bring in their gold jewelry. It's only good if you own it. I moved some of my investment money into previous metals when gas spiked this past summer, and it stemmed the bleeding as other stocks dropped. Real...

    Your Thoughts on the Economy?

I think things will get worse before they get better, but only if the government nationalizes the banks. Without that nationalization, we will resemble Ethiopia within a decade.

Do You Believe in Alternative Medicine?

I think many people misunderstand what happens whether you use herbs or pharmaceuticals. If a substance creates change in your body, it is executing a chemical reaction. If an herb eases pain, you are still using a chemical. Medications made in labs either concentrate or reproduce the...

    Families and the Mortgage Crises

It needn't be as bloody, but the Bolshevik Revolution and the French Revolution had the same sort of "aura" between the wealthy and those who weren't. The move toward putting citizens ahead of profit, and in our case just getting the two on par, would probably be the revolution we will see...

    Another blow for the Big3?

During hard times, people fix what they have, instead of buying something new. Now might be the best time to consider starting an appliance repair business, or investing in a little automotive equipment and hanging out a shingle! I am watching for small business start up programs from the...
