That's some of the view from the kitchen window the garden is about 30' from the kitchen also have to raised beds built in the hill side of berries (straw, black and red raspberries) and rhubarb
Not much to report got a few things nailed in window opening and a removable wall by the door. Bought plexiglass for the windows 4x $18 =72 might not use it all waiting on sawmill to get new blades to finish siding.
So got a few things done tonight ridge cap is on and two shelves on the inside about 2½ hrs. Still old screws and old lumber need to do an exact price on the roof now it is done
Yes u can and it does. But comes down to price. And if not a super tight house most people shut or block the fresh air intake. I have two kids my house gets plenty of fresh air all year long so for me a pipe and damper is pointless but if u work from home or are old and don't leave or even open...
So spray foam doesn't breathe. There is closed cell and open cell foam. I haven't noticed much difference in the two they both mold. A house has to breathe the tighter you make it the more u need to control fresh air in by an erv or hrv. With out ventilation u can also get sick house syndrome...
But when u don't have gas most of us will still have grass so pack horse will be alive and useful when the ATV is dead dead dead. Did I mention that the ATV would be dead without gas
Thanks @baymule and @tortoise it's kinda for fun as I have time/ stress relief project that my goal is to do it for under $500. So today more roof built tin and installed 1½ hrs cost $66 dollars. Size 15' wide by 7.5' deep
So built some of the roof today about two hrs to build and an hr and a half to put on. Got two pieces left to do on back so far $114 in metal had screws left over from something else.
Another 1hr or so today pretty much ran out of siding boards need to haul more to the mill. Some of the 1x6 where rotten and I need to take some longer ones for the other end. Won't be fore about two weeks. Gonna start on the roof. Will make standing seam roofing no color just galvanized.
Picked up sawed poles today got 50 1x6 8-10 feet long and 16 1x2 same length. Cost 37 dollars time spent loading hauling and unloading around an hr and a half. Also about two hrs on Wednesday night to finish framing.
So hauled polls to saw mill must pick up on Saturday afternoon. I got rest of framing done except for widows. plan on siding back and sides then roof then finish front with door and windows
