I found a moth eaten smoked ham leg in the freezer - no date. So I hacked at it, after thawing, so I could cram it into my round crock pot. I'll cook all day, then refrigerate, then skim the fat and save the meat. Soup for another day.

HEY!! I mixed a jar of home canned red beans with a jar of home canned ham and beans, then added two sliced hot dogs to it. Had some stale tortilla chips, so used those to thicken up the mix. YUMMY!! p.s. both jars were from 2021, so it was time to use up what I have hoarded.

I've made 7 quarts of apple pie filling. Got three more quarts to do. Free apples make the best pie filling!!

I made Mississippi Pot Roast last nite/early morning, in my crock pot. It uses pepperoncini. I shredded the beef, then put it and the bowl of broth, into the fridge so I can remove the excess fat layer on the broth tonite.
