I know that pine is a soft wood but don't you love the look and feel of pine for furniture? I think it really looks great but the only problem is the softness of the wood and the scarring and dents it gets. What do you think?

What is a good set of hand carving tools to get to start out. Woodywoodpecker has got me thinking about those old men faces you carve into trees. I would like to try my hand at that! I don't know if I could do it but it sure wouldn't hurt to try.

I usually just look in my tool shed. Seriously, my dad bought tons of tools and never used half of them. He's gone now and he left all of the tool stuff to me because I liked to putter around like he did. I usually use more than what he did though and I'm really getting into woodworking.

Does anyone find very much use for their Dremel power tool? I bought one quite a while ago but seriously, I have yet to use it for anything I couldn't use another tool for. It's alright, but I just really have yet to find a Good use for it.:o
