After what seems like weeks (really has been) since we have had a day with more than 6 hours of sun, I'm squinting my eyes when I look outside.
I have clothes on the line for the first time in almost a month. And, they are actually drying!
It's still quite chilly here, about 40. The night...
Oh Quail, it is so easy for me to sit here and say how beautiful it is in the pictures.

Thank you justusnak. I really enjoy it. I don't think it's so much tallent as it is being able to follow directions. The real tallent lies in those who do the beautiful hand quilting patterns with such neat stitches. I don't think I'll ever be patient enough to do that.
The second picture is Civil War Homefront Layer Cake Collection by Moda. It is reproduction fabrics from the Civil War period. The fabric was a bit expensive, but you can feel the quality. Plus, I made it for my BIL. He is a Civil War buff.

I've finished another top and need to take it to the quilters. It's my first panel quilt. I'll post a pic when it's done.
I can give you a mental picture of what my garden looks like:
Take a cake pan and fill it with dirt. Pour in 2" of water. Wait 2 days and layer 5" of snow. Mix in 1 day of sunshine and 2 days of clouds. Now add 1 more inch of water. Add 1 more day of sunshine. Mix with 2 days of snow showers...
Hey, BB! Gina told me (on Facebook) you had asked about me. It's nice to be thought of.
How are the soaps going? Are your goats as wonderful as ever?
I hope you are doing well. I'll have to catch up on your journal.
I'll post some pics tomorrow. They are on a different computer. I only put the tops together. I have a wonderful little quilt shop that machine quilts them for me.
I'm checking in.
Wow, SS changed. I'm gone for a month and, POOF! Looks good.
I've been cranking out the quilt tops like crazy. That's kept me pretty busy.
I've got a few things planted in the greenhouse: peppers, cabbage, brocolli and brussels sprouts. We have been having such unseasonably...
I have tried to learn how to knit, but I guess I just don't have the dexterity or the patience for it. I don't even understand how to read one of the patterns.

Good luck on learning...

So far, I've sold over $185 worth of scrapbooking stuff. Way less than I paid for it, but...
Dace, make sure and check your state laws regarding selling plants. Here in TN, you must be certified by the State. I'll get mine this year. I will fall just under the commercial certification and get a hobby greenhouse certification.
I tried the biodegradable pots and just was not impressed by...
