So much goes into food prices, beyond profit mark ups. There's labor, transport, gas/diesel, containers, fertilizers, seed, and more! Plus weather can make or break a crop. Plus pest damage. Then feed, water, bedding, power, housing, if animal. These are all part of the trickle down...

Containers!?! Any containers you can add dirt and plant...they can be set "around" odd places.

Hatcheries are so sold out!! Most have anticipated ship dates of Aug thru Oct 😱. Gonna be a lot of chickens for sale by buyers who "changed their minds" 🤣 If a hen isn't broody soon I'll crank up the Bator. Hey, I'm giving eggs away now -- might as well sell chicks.

Consider a learning class. Set a date, a fee, have instruction & hands on training. I've seen a few here for that, also milking classes...goats/cows. Yep, they advertised on craigslist, etc. They did ok. Of course, depends on market & housing area. It's a thought.

I'm relaxing this morn with coffee. Home all weekend, no rush, nowhere to be! Wow. This is nice☺️ Garden planning is my only consideration right now. Believe I might need to buy a new mower battery -- will know once charger comes off. Not mowing yet but, pulling the yard cart.

Today I'm going to seed planter trays for garden starts. 😄👍 Things that do best for started plants -- tomato, peppers, eggplant, etc. Most other veggies are direct down here. Garden isn't ready for that part, maybe 2 weeks out. Usually I'm further ahead but, crazy weather has held me up...

I like fried chicken livers. Also calf liver with onions. No pork liver. Some foods are just not palatable 😋 But I like brussel sprouts, too....strong tastes aren't for everyone.
