The General done fell and bumped his head. Look at these prices, I've never bought a new car or truck in my life. Always used with some factory warranty left. But still look at these prices

Looks like I'll be keeping farm truck for a long time to come.

Silverados have always been expensive. Though those aren't bad prices for them.

They were status symbols of how well your farm was doing when I was growing up. They weren't used as the actual farm trucks. Most farmers had those basic white Ford diesels as working farm trucks. Actually thats still what my various family uses, though some of them have AC now. Silverados are only for town or towing the trailers to rodeos. Those in the family who have other jobs and just need a pickup for a few things every now and have cheaper trucks and have a car for most travel.

USED vehicle prices have gone insane. I've seen them cost MORE than the same vehicle new.


Hubby drives a 2009 Nissan Frontier because it handles well and does good for our general regular loads or trips down to the coast because we've seen too many cars stuck in the sand. It was bought new. I drive a 1997 F-150. Bought it off my Uncle who bought it new loaded. He had to have paid a lot at the time with all it has.

That picture is quite disturbing in that milk is only up 5% when costs to feed those cows is up an easy 25% and continuing upward! Such a backward problem as farmers have been losing money way before this. Gas has always made too much money.

Plant a garden, buy a goat or cow, do the work....screw the govt controls. Make govt members get a hoe, pull weeds, shovel poop and watch others enjoy the crops for free.

So... That's the reason people look at me weird, when I say it's a farm truck. Now I know!
