That was really neat; thanks for posting. I agree that it is sad that it can't be preserved.
We have a similar place here in Oregon, but this one is a museum now. Just shut up when the last owner died, and decades later when the city wanted to remove the building they did a search to find the owner, for permission, and found that it had actually been given to the city, and then forgotten! And then they opened it up, and found treasure!
Way cool. I am amazed at how the logo branding of the colgate and pepsodent and even old english has not strayed over these 50 years. Very recognizable logo's. Can't say that about most 50 yr old (or older) brands, as they struggle to retain market share, by changing up colors, type faces, logo's, slogans, etc.
