Abundance of violets??

I have been looking for ways to preserve the many violets I have this year.

There was an interesting book I got at the Library on "Flower Pounding"

Here is my first attempt at Flower Pounding.

I used watercolor paper. and I am planning to use it as a bookmark.

And then there is always the ever popular Sugared Violets.

At my last house I had masses of violets, but the most I ever did was candy them, and enjoy them in teeny, tiny bouquets. But here are a couple of recipes that look sort of fun:

I have yards and yards of them. but they seem to be different. in one area close to the house they are the most fragrant things I've ever smelled and small dainty things and then farther out in the back yard and woods they are huge and beautiful but not fragrant at all.

I've been wanting to make violet jelly. My wild violets are so scattered though, it might end up being too much of a chore to gather them.
