Posted in CL earlier today, that I have a large amount of sermon CD and Christian Magazines for free, and a little bit ago I got this in my inbox.

Hello,

I had the idea this afternoon when listening to Christian music, to post an ad on Craigslist uder Wanted to see if anyone has any tapes or CDs of Christian music they are through listening to and would be willing to give away.

Yesterday, my close friend began chemotherapy for the second time. She is not a Christian, though we have talked about this. It occurred to me that some select Christian music might be very effective while she is lying down very worn out. I recently moved to Alaska and did not ship any up with me, but four of my favorite I "gave" to my pastor on the East Coast, should I want them later. They are with a Hebrew beat, Messianic Jewish music, and that would not be of benefit to my friend. She might be woo'ed in by listening to some of the classic loving, gently contemporary music.

I'm placing the ad on Craigslist right now - an might copy/paste most of the above paragraph.

Thanks.
Seems off to me in a way, as what does that have to do with my ad?

since it doesn't relate to your ad at all, i would tend to think they are trying to get e-mail addresses and this letter must work for getting a response out of people. I would not respond. Why would this person ask someone they don't know at all this question instead of the Messianic Jewish temple?

First of all, sounds like this person has a prejudice against anything not "Christian" (which immediately turned me off, because music is music is music.)

I would say it's spam, and that they should be ignored.

I would not reply to this email. It does seem a bit... I dont know..

What I would do. Is go back to craigslist and change your ad a bit. I would say in my listing, if you want this item, please email me and include your phone number. All emails with out phone numbers will be deleated.

Thats a wierd email. Are they saying they like jewish music, but don't want their sick friend to be influenced by loving, contemporary jewish music? i think any loving philosophy should be consided as a valid treatment for the ill. I also believe that God said love thy neighbor, not "choose his playlist." I would shy away from anyone who is not clear on their intent. Do you want the christian music or not?
If i don't know the sender, i delete all emails. The world is full of pushers, salesmen, and decievers of all types. Hundreds of people gave away their life savings because they believed the world was going end yesterday.

It's a scam, not just spam. They are phishing for e-mail addresses and any other info they can get on people. Report them, and don't send any response to their message.
